Late Shreemanji K N VASUDEVAN

Founder Principal, Founder Director

Born at Kodungallur ( Kerala) in 1935, he graduated  from Madras University and did his  Post graduation in Zoology from Bihar University. He was a rank holder. He joined Netarhat Vidyalaya as a teacher in 1960 and retired as Principal in 1995. As a topper in the Summer Institute of Biology in 1968, he was awarded Full bright Scholarship (USA) and was associated with Texas University (Houston) and De Paul University (Chicago). Moreover he was selected for the Summer Science Research Project at Oklahoma University (Oklahoma). He attended many summer institutes in India as a resource person. In addition, he was associated with SCERT and NCERT as subject expert in Biology.

Mr. Ramesh Chandra Mishra, a visionary leader and philanthropist, was the driving force behind the establishmentof the Vidya Vihar Group of Institutions. Born with a passion for education and social upliftment, he dedicated his life to creating opportunities for learning and personal growth, particularly in underserved regions. With a deep belief in the transformative power of education, he laid the foundation for Vidya Vihar Residential School and Vidya Vihar Institute of Technology, which today stand as beacons of excellence. Mr. Mishra was committed to fostering a holistic approach to education that combined academic rigor with strong moral values. His philosophy extended beyond classrooms, with an emphasis on cultivating empathy, discipline, and leadership among students. Under his stewardship, Vidya Vihar grew from amodest beginning into a prominent educational hub, renowned for its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals ready to meet the challenges of the modern world. In addition to his contributions to education, Mr. Mishra was actively involved in various charitable initiatives, supporting causes related to healthcare, rural development, and cultural preservation. His philanthropic endeavors were instrumental in uplifting the local community, reflecting his unwavering commitment to social responsibility. Even after his passing, Mr. Ramesh Chandra Mishra’s legacy continues to inspire generations. The Vidya Vihar Group of Institutions stands as atestament to his vision of empowering youth with knowledge, character, and compassion, ensuring that his ideals live on through the achievements of every student who walks through its doors.

PROF. (DR.) RATNESHWAR MISHRA

HONOURABLE PROF. (DR.) RATNESHWAR MISHRA

CHAIRMAN

Born on 01-12-45 and a native of village Bishnupur in Purnea Dist, Prof. (Dr.) Ratneshwar Mishra did his higher secondary from Netarhat School and higher education from Patna University.
He worked as a lecturer in History at S.P.College, Dumka (1967-1973) and CM College Darbhanga (1974-1975). He retired as a Professor and Head  of the Dept of History, L.N.Mithila University, Darbhanga on 31-01-05.
He was President of “COUNTRIES OTHER THAN INDIA SECTION ”of the Indian History Congress held at Calicut in March, 2006.

He was a member of Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council, Finance Committee, Examination Board etc. Of L.N.Mithila University from time to time. He was a member of the Executive Council of the Bihar Research Society.Besides, being an author and translator of many books of History and a regular contributor of scholarly papers to distinguished journals of history, he was also a member of the Advisory Committee (Maithili) of Sahitya Academy for five years from 2002-2007. In 2018, He has been appointed by Ministry of HRD, Government of India as a member a special Committee  for preservation of Maithili Script

He is a native of Jamtara (Jharkhand) and he did his higher Secondary  from Netarhat Vidyalaya in the year 1960 (1st Batch) He is a Graduate in Metallurgy from BIT Sindri and a Postgraduate in Industrial Engg. and he did his Management course from ISM Dhanbad. He worked in various capacities in Bhilai Steel Plant, Bharat Cooking Coal Ltd., Coal India Corporate office and Bharat Bhari Udyog Nigam Ltd. (BBUNL). His contributions towards HRD in coal industry were highly appreciated and he was nominated to attend "Training for Overseas Managers" in the UK in the year 1984. Before retirement from active services, he held the post of Chief General Manager in coal India Ltd. and executive Director in BBUNL, Kolkata respectively. Sri Paul is a life member of Mining Geological and Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI), Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), and National Institute of Personal Management (NIPM). He has organized and attended many seminars, workshops and conferences at national and International level. He Joined as Joint Director in the year 2009 and presently guiding the institution as the Director.

Mr. Nikhil Ranjan has been an invaluable member of the Vidya Vihar Residential School community since 1997, when he joined as a founding Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Chemistry. His academic journey began at Sainik School Goalpara (Assam), where he completed his higher secondary education in 1984.
He went on to earn a postgraduate degree in Chemistry, receiving a Silver Medal from TMBU (Bhagalpur) in 1989. In 1995, he completed his Bachelor of Education from the Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneshwar, a prestigious NCERT unit.
Over the years, Mr. Ranjan has taken on numerous leadership roles within the school. He served as Housemaster of Senior Houses for 20 years, guiding students in both academics and personal development.

He also held the position of Academic Coordinator for Secondary and Senior Secondary classesfor 10 years and served as Controller of Examinations for an impressive 22 years. In addition, Mr. Ranjanhas been appointed as Centre Superintendent to conduct key national exams, including CTET andAISSE/AISSCE, at home and other centers. He has also served as a Head Examiner for Science andChemistry.Beyond his administrative roles, Mr. Ranjan has actively contributed to co-curricular and enrichment activities. He has been in charge of quizzes,tours and excursions, and has organized various science and literary activities. His passion for science education is evident in his role as GroupLeader for the National Children’s Science Congress.His dedication to personal growth and student development is reflected in his achievements, including earning an NCC ‘B’ Certificate, the HimalayanWood Badge in Scouts & Guides, and participation in several national workshops and adventure programs. Mr. Ranjan has also served as anObserver for AISSCE practical examinations and regularly attends capacity-building programs and orientation courses organized by the CBSE’sCentre of Excellence (COE).With over two decades of experience in teaching, leadership, and administration, Mr. Ranjan brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to his roleas Principal of Vidya Vihar Residential School. He is committed to fostering academic excellence, promoting holistic development, and instilling essential values in the students under his care, ensuring they are prepared to excel both in academics and life.
